A strike of the Militia is threatened owing to the amount for special parades on the occasion of Royalty visit being cut clown from 8s to 4/6 per day, Westralian Politics. Perth, April 29. The state elections which are unoomplete shows ministerialists and oppositionists about equal. The labor party hold the balance of power. Canadian Postmaster. Received this day, at 9 22 a m. AnBLAiDB, April 29. Mulock, the Canadian PostmasterGeneral arrived and will probably confer with the Federal Government with a view to the adoption of preferential duties between the Colonies, States and Britain. Cable Construction. The Telegraph construction and Maintenance Coys cable steamer Britannic, arrived to lay the shore end of the Cape cable 130 miles out. She proceeds to Sydney first, Brisbane, April 29. Amongst the passengers of the Miowera is Peake, engineer for the Pacific Cable.
Plague Stricken Chinaman. Peeth, April 29. The body of a Chinaman missing since last week, was found six miles from the city plague stricken.
