(pj3R PRESS ASSOCIATION.— COPYRIGHT.) The Imperial Parliament. London, April 25. In the House of Commons the Deceased Wife's Sister Bill was read a second time by 279 votes to 122, the majority including the Radicals, some Onionists, and 30 Nationalists, and Messrs Richie and Austin Chamberlain. No Minister spoke for or against the Bill. Sir M. H. Beach, Hon. Mr Brcd;riek, Mr Gnrst and Viscount Cranborne voted with the minority. An Absconding Casa. Harry Johnston was remanded to Auckland under the escoit of Detective M'llveney on a charge of obtaining £SOO from the Kiuri Timber Company with intent to defraud. In reply to Johnston Detective Jjncs said that when lie arrested accused he found on him return railway tickets between Sydney aad Melbourne, a return steamer ticket to New j Zealand, and a letter of credit for £2OO,
