Eily, schooner, for Lyttelton. IN PORI Kini Dingadee

The Kini arrived on Saturday morn, ing and sails for Wellington direct tomorrow.

The Janet Nicoll sailed on Saturday nmht for Oamaru and Dunedin, She leaves the latter port again on Thursday via usual ports arriving here on tut following Wednesday.

The Haupiri left Westport at 9 o’clock this morning and arrived here about w pm. She sails at midnight on return journey.

The Corinna left Dunedin yesterday via usual ports sailing from W elhngton on Thursday for Grey direct.

The Herald leaves Onehnnga to-mor-row for Grey.

The Wainui leaves Wellington on Wednesday via usual ports arriving on Friday and sailing at 3 p m on her return journey.

We learn that the Union S.S. Company have now arranged a special cargo service from southern ports to Taranaki and Napier. This will release the Corinna and Janet Nicoll from their present calls and enable them to come direct from Wellington, thus giving the Coast a shorter cargo connection with southern ports. The Corinna which left Dunedin yesterday, is. we understand, the first boat under the new arrangement. She arrives here on Thursday, but succeeding steamers will probably be timed to reach Grcv on 'Wednesdays.
