London, April 10. The following officers are favorably mentioned in Lord Roberts’s despatches and been created Companions of the Bath: — Victoria—Colonel T. Price, Lieut-Col. N.W. Kelly. Honors arc also awarded to Imperial Army officers commanding Australasian and Canadian contingents.

London, April 20. The Imperial Light Horse captured 13 Boers and '2O wagons, while 12 wagons full of Boer families surrendered to Piumer.

General Hector Macdonald .assumes an important post on the Afghan frontier.

In the House of Commons, Mr Brodrick stated that Lieut Robbins and Corporal Jeggs (of the Imperial Yeomanry) hoisted the white Hag when the Yeomanry surrendered at Lindlcy. Jeggs has been discharged, and Lord Roberts is considering Robbin’s case. Cartwright, editor of the South African News, was convicted of libelling Lord Kitchener.

Cartwright deposed that M . T. Stead sent him bales of anti-British pamphlets for distribution, He also gave his word of honor that the allegations contained m a letter signed “ A British Officer, constituting the libel were true. Stead declared that he had merely stated that an officer of standing was responsible for the charges. General Kitchener is at Roitfontein cooperating with Piumer, Douglas, and Bmdon Blood, with the view of enclosing the Roosenkraal Boers.

Colonials Gone. The honors cover the date of Lord Roberts surrendering the command. Further distinctions in connection with the auxiliary forces are promised. The deaths of Bombardier S. May (Now Zealand) from cerebral compression at Kochmeer, and Privato Wadley (Tasmunian Bushmen) from enteric are announced. Fremantle, April 21.
