NO TOWN NOTES.

No Town, 18th April, 1901. A public meeting of the residents of the district was held at the Good Templar's Hall on Satutday, 13th inst. There was a fair attendance of the public present. Mr. Patrick Fallon, who was voted to the chair, having explained the object of the mooting and its laudable purpose—an endeavor to supplement the funds of the Grey River Hospital—called for nominations for a local committee for the ensuing year, when the following residents wore appointed, viz:—Messrs. P. Fallon, M'Gregor, P. Mullins, W. Lowe, L. Livingstone, Weir, Tucker, Dinsen, J. Malone and M'Paynor. Mr! P. Fallon was appointed chairman and treasurer and W. L. 11. M'Grcor secretary. B Messrs. Tucker, M'Eaynor, Fallon, M'Gregor, Mullins and O'Brien were appointed canvassers for the district. It was resolved to held the annual concert and ball on Friday 31st May next, when it is to bo hoped'that there 'will bo a good roll up for the support of such a noble institution, so well'managed and preserved over by its genial doctor superintendant, the chairman in one his remarks saying that during the year just closed not one patient sent from the locality with a recommendation had been refused admittance. A voto of thanks to the chair terminated what was a most enthusiastic and business liko meeting.
