London, April 15. A column comprising (500 Colonials left Bnsmead Junction in pursuit of Kruitfirtpor. Increasing numbers of Orange Biver Colony Boers are joining the British in limiting down the marauding commandos. It is semi-officially reported at Capetown that Botha has conferred with Do Wet, who was in tlio Heilbron district on the 11th. Several commandos in the Orange Colony are on furlough till to- day. Rich gold reef 3 have been discovered in the Murchison Bange, Transvaal. London, April 10 During Colonel Babington's operations H Eawlmson's column rushed Commandant Smut's laager, north-west of Klerks dorp, at daylight. Six Boers wore killnd, -10 wounded and 23 prisoners were taken. A 12-pounder and Pom-pom complete and two wagons full of ammunition were captured.

The Times states that Lord Kitchener's operations are intended to prevent the largest forces now between Bethel and Ermelo, also the Free States, going north of Rushveldt. 300 of Colonel Plumer's force captured Field-Cornet Brice, 16 Boers and 10 wagons. Colonel Piloher, while skirmishing in the Orange River district killed seven Boers and secured a considerable amount of stock. The Treason Court at Barkley West sentenced PonyDe Wot, a member of the Assembly, to three years and imposed a fine of £IOOO.
