Proposed Land Act Amendment. « Wellington, This Day. The Minister of. Lands, in a proposed amendment to the Land Act, proposes to enlarge the functions of Land Boards by giving them control of certain matters not now within their jurisdiction in order to encourage settlement on bush lands. It proposes to remit rents of settlers for the first two or three years according to the nature of the bush to be felled. Accidental Death. Timaeu, This Day.
