[PES PRESS ASSOC'ITION.] New Zealander Wounded. Wellington, This Day. The Premier received a cablegram from the Governor of Cape Colony that Trooper W. C. Laurie, Sixth New Zealand Con tingent, was severely wounded near Pietersburg on • April 7th. The Sixth is with Plumer's Column. Bowry and French Consnl. Bowry, who was arrested last year as a French escapee from New Caledonia but was released by the Governor after being conveyed there, has issued a writ against Count de Courte, French Consulj claiming £6OOO damages. The Govornor informed the Premier that owing to want of time it will be impossible for the Duke of Cornwall to visit the Marlborough Sounds.
