This settlement is part of the well known Otaio Estate, formerly owned by Mr Toschemaker ; is situated between Timaru and Waimate, twenty miles from the former town and eleven miles from the latter. Land well adapted for mixed farming ; in good heart; has produced heavy crops of wheat, and up to 60 bushels of oats to the aero. Depth of strong black soil, 7in to Bin. MANGAWHATA SETTLEMENT, WELLINGTON (formerly known as Morrison's Estate). —1,22 G acres, divided into seven sections, from 12s 9d to 15s per acre per annum. This settlement is situated between Rongotea and Oroua Bridge Railway Station, in a prosperous district, near important townships. The Jand is first-class, comprising grossed flats suitable for dairy farming and fattening stock. Open for application, at Wellington and Palmerston North, on Tuesday, 14th May, 1901.
