Botha again Negotiating.
British reach Pietersburg
Boers occupy three Towns in Cape Colony.
Received this day at 9 51 a m. London, April 11. Most of tho fighting Burghers in the Pietersburg district, have gone to Ciinnesport amid the recesses of Zoutpansberg, where a Long Tom was also conveyed. Boer women and children and cattle, were sent to Waterbcrg district.
The British occupying Pietersburg liberated Goneral Scholman and Couper Envoys from the Boers Peace Committee, who wore detained when they went to try and induce tne Burghers, still fighting, to submit.
Bushman's land rebels have occupied tho towns of Brandoli. Nelskop, and Northwestern in Cape Colony.
Two special criminal Courts to deal 'with serious offences have been established •in Transvaal. The English language is to .be used.
The Times point out that in view of fresh defeats of the Boer forces. Botha .cannot expect to bo offered the terms ho recently refused. There have been 866 cases of plague at ■Capetown," including 85 Europeans, and .135 have proved fatal.
