Tho Tongavio conveys from tho Capo to Australia and Now Zealand 906 officers and men, including invalids. The Boors outnumbering compelled a British patrol to evacuate Aganthinus, Bcchuanaland, after a five hours’ fight. The Times states that tho methods of guerilla warfare arc alien to tho dictates of civilisation.
The numerous shootings of black women and children in South Africa have been confirmed. New Zealand Rough Rider E. H. Philpot, was killed at Kamaclfontcin ; and A. Wookcy is missing at Boshof. A train was wrecked and burnt to the northward of Newcastle, near O’Neill’s farm, On troops approaching the wreckers retired, losing two killed. O’Neill was arrested.
