Though the health of the Hon. John MTvenzio lias its ups and downs, as is usually the case where the complaint is of such a nature as that with which lie is troubled, his strong constitution, aided by liis remarkable courage, seems to be triumphing at last. Wo paid a visit to Mr. MTvcnzic’s home at Hcathflold yesterday (says Thursday’s Oamaru Mail), and though we found him much reduced and weakened by a year’s physical martyrdom, he was at the gate, with the aid of sticks, to sec the train arrive, and subsequently took the morning drive which ho delights in when his health and the weather permit. He, indeed, lives as much as possible outside, for he realises that in the open air lie will find the best physic, and, of course, he lacks nothing in the way of nursing.
