A Successful Operation
Sydney, March 25.
Colonel Fox was successfully operated on at Bathurst for an abscess in a cavity of the lung and is progressing favorably. The Federation Commission. The Federal Commission examined Meeks, ex-president of the Chamber of Commerce, and Sir Georga Dibbs to-day. They postponed the examination of Mr Ecid till his return to Sydney. It is understood that Dibbs is emphatically of the opinion that it would bo unwise of New Zealand to join the Federation. The Commission visits the Agricultural College at Eichmond to-morrow.
