The shooting to-day was not so good as on previous days,* owing chiefly to the strength of the wind. Wilson (Woodville) was second with 43, Allport (Nelson) third with 43. During the afternoon the wind fell and shooting improved. CHRISTCHURCH MATCH OF 700 YARDS, 10 SHOTS. nts. maze.

At the conclusion of this match Wilson was leading for the Belt with an aggregate of 225, G. Loveday 223, Buntin 223, Nelson 222.

After the Christchurch match was finished, the first range of the Wellington match, 500 yards, 7 shots, was taken, and some excellent shooting was made, Greenwood, Randall, and Grace, of Wellington, Cox and Henderson of Auckland, Ingpen of Woodville, and Lester of Christchurch making the possible.
