Melbourne, March 22. Over 13,000 troops will take part in the review at Flcmington during the Yorks’ visit.

Christchurch, March 21,

A public meeting attended by between 30 and 40 citizens was held to-day to consider matters in connection with the reception of the Yorks. The acting mayor (J. T. Smith,) who presided, said that the cost of decorating the city would be about £1,500, and it had been suggested that the City Council should find £I,OOO and the neighboring local bodies the balance. The general opinion of the meeting was that the cost should be borne by the Government, and on the motion of W. T. Chrystall, it was resolved that in the opinion of this meeting of citizens of Christchurch, called to consider what steps should be taken in connection with the reception of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, all expenses attending such reception should he borne by the consolidated fund, and that the chairman be requested to forward a copy of this resolution to the Premier, and that this meeting he adjourned until the local branches having now a credit of £lO3 are consulted. Wellington, This Day. The Harbor Board will present an address to the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall on arrival.
