Teacher’s Residences. Dunedin, March 20.
In considering applications affecting teachers’ residences the chairfiian of the Education Board expressed his opinion that if he had the power ho would sell every teacher’s residence possessed by the Jloard, and have teachers to build houses to suit themselves. It was impossible to give satisfaction at present. It was resolved to recommend the Minister for Education to permit the Board to use a portion of the building fund to pay rent for teachers’ residences when desirable.
