Botha Rejects the offers of Peace.

Recsivcd this day at 923 a. m. London, March 20,

Lord Salisbury in the House of Lords and Chamberlain the Houso of Commons announced that Botha in a letter to Kitchener declared that ho was not disposed to recommend the terms of peace which Kitchener was instructed to offer to the earnest consideration of his Government. The latter and his chief officers entirely agreed with his views. A blue book traversing the negotiations is promised to-day. Kruazingcr has escaped across Elands river. Milners head-quarters aro at Johannesburg. Commenting on Botha’s reply the Times says that Botha speaks of bis Government. It would bo interesting to know what is his Government, The unpleasant necessity of prosecuting war had not

abated his energy, and gives emphasis to Kitchener’s appeal for comforts for troops during the approaching winter, Received this day at 9 38 a. m. London, March 20.
