WESTLAND LAND BOARD.

A special meeting oJ! the Westland Land Board was held on Tuesday at the Lands Office ; Present: Messrs Murray (Chief Commissioner) Gumming, Chcsney, Matheson and Lang.

The following business concerning this district was dealt with : F. A. Jackson, to purchase j-acre of rural land in Block I Otira Survey District at Jackson’s.— Adjourned pending valuation.

F A. Jackson, to purchase 20 acres of rural land in Block I Otira Survey District, being run No 155, under the Midland Authorised Area Land Act. Adjourned pending valuation. M. Brunn, to select 100 acres of rural land on lease in perpetuity, being run No. 225 under the Midland Authorised Area Land Settlement Act.—Adjourned pending valuation. The Commissioner notified the Board that run No 71 Kaimata Range was unsold at Run Sale held on February 26th. Resolved that land bo declared open for lease.

The Commissioner and Mr Lang presented their report on the values of certain of the lands applied for under the Midland Authorised Area Land Settlement Act.—Received. The Receiver of Land Revenue reported- that the receipts for the period amounted to £203 12s 7d, viz. Midland Railway, nil: ordinary land revenue £203 12s 7d. —Received.
