EW ZEALAND WREATHS FOR THE QUEEN’S FUNERAL.
The wreath sent by Mr Beeves on behalf of the people of New Zealand was over a yard in diameter, says Truth’s London correspondent. Half the circumference was of Parma violets, and half of dark violets, the top of the wreath being formed of the lilies-of-the-valley, tied with broad white satin ribbon, on which was worked most beautifully by hand, in mauve silk, the words “Now Zealand to her Queen. At the foot of the wreath was a little crown of ivy leaves and white heather. On behalf of the women of Auckland, Mr. Reeves sent to the Queen’s funeral a magnificent cross, quite five feet in length, formed of lilies-of-the-valley, with carnations entwined round the standard and cross pieces.
