Ahahura Livestock Market.
Mark Sprot and Co report their sale at Ahahura, on Tuesday.— The entry of fat cattle was confined to Messrs Diedrich's and Karnbach's drafts of 80 head. Thero was a full attendance of local buyers supplemented with a number from the northern districts. The latter gave an earnest of their intentions at the outset, and competition was keen throughout the sale. Values for beef and mutton showed a further improvement. "We sold on account of the undermentioned clients.
Fat Cattle—Mr H. Diodrichs, 32 prime bullocks from £lO to £1 10i ; 28 heifers from £l los to £5. MrH Karnbach—ll bullocks from £9 to j£7 5s 8 heifers from £6 to £5 ss. Fat sheep and lambs—Messrs Abraham and Williams, 100 heavy ewes at £l. Mr H Diedrich, 50 ewes and wethers at 17s 6d, 80, lamb 3 11 to 12s. Dairy Stock—The usual entry was cleared at current rates.
