Russia and Japan Scoops the Pool London, March 7. The Standard states that the Manchurian convention between Russia and China has been finally signed. Mukden is thus outside the cognisance of Ministers the Powers at Pekin. Tho Morning Post states that Russia has annexed Kinchau 130 miles southwest of Niuchwang, and claimed all industrial concessions in Mongolia ns far as Kashgar Turkestan, and _ insists on building the Manchuria-Pekin railway. The fact that Japan having mentioned that she required equivalent concessions granted her to those given to Russia coupled with the withdrawal of her troops from China is interpreted as moaning that she is receiving the province Pokien.
Britain is advised that China will defer her ratification of Manchurian agreement in order to consult the Powers. Received this day 9 50 a.m. London, March 7.
General Gaseleo made a farewell visit to the Australian Contingent prior to their return. .Ho warmly complimented them on their smartness, willingness and efficiency.
