Ihe fourth show promoted by tho Westland Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held aUHokitika yesterday. The previous rain fell and the morning broko'cioudy and overcast. Tho rain morning no doubt prc■tattoj'd a largo number of people frcm atHowever as the day went on tho sun gained mastery and the afternoon was gloriously fine. The attendance was about equal to last year's over 600 paying admission at tho gates. A fairly number of visitors came from the Grey district. The competition on this occasion was not nearly so good as previous shows and tho judges had a comparatively task. Mr James Madden of Ahaura carried off his hanors for the best draught horse, while Mr M'Lean of Greymouth was an easy first for the best weight carrying hack, our old friend Couranto coming second. The first prize for high jump for hunters was also awarded to Coaranto. Mr J Blewman of Kaiato recured first prize for tho best collection of fruit.
