London, February 22. Colonel Plumer is following De Wet and compelling him to turn north in tho direction of Griqualand West. Ho is close on the enemy's heels.

Hettzog is northwards of Houwater.

In the House of Commons Mr Chamberlain announced that Sir A. Mtlner's salary as administrator of the new colonies would be £BOOO, and as High Commissioner of Sonth Africa £3OOO.
