B. AND F. B SOCIETY MEETING.
The local committee of the British and Foreign Bible Society met in the Presbyterian Church las'; evening, the Eev. G. W. York in the chair.
The Treasurer reported the receipt of the following sums collected by the under-mentioned canvassers:— Miss Gray £2 19 0 Mrs Brown and Miss Stone... 5 0 0 Mrs Gaskin and Miss Firth..; <> 2 0 Total £l4 1 0 The local Secretary was instructed to publicly acknowledge the receipt of tin's amount, and ascertain from the Organising Secretary the usual course pursued in reference to the disposal of the money, the general opinion being that it he sent direct by bank draft to the Parent Society in London.
