Queen's Statue.
London, Feb. 17.
A quarter of a million pounds has been subscribed in Calcutta towards a statue of the late Queen,

The miners who were imprisoned by the fire in the colliery at Cumberland, British Columbia, were suffocated. They consisted of 27 whioes, 29 Chinese, and 9 Japanese.
