GREY FOOTBALL CLUB.
A special general meeting of the above Club was held at the Commercial Hotel on Saturday evening last, 16th last, to con-
sider the proposal to send a team on tour and to devise ways of providing means for so doing. There was a very largo attendance of members and visiting footballers. Mr A. Adams presided. Several apologies for non attendance were read and accepted. After the matter was fully discussed, it was unanimously decided that a team should visit the East Coast at Easter, playing matches at Dunedin, Chrisichurch, Timaru, and Ellesmere. Committees were appointed to interview members who are will ng to make the trip, and also to make arrangements with the Trotting Club for the u;e of the Victoria Park as a training ground, and to report at the general meeting to be held in the Club rooms on Wednesday evening next, the 20th inst, at 8 p m, when a full attendance of members is requested. Mr Walton, secretary of the Club, who loaves to-day for Christchurch to take part in the Fire Brigade competitions, will, while there, make what arrangements he can regarding the tour. During his absence Mr D. Hannan will act as secretary. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the chairman, which terminated one of the most enthusiastic and successful football meetings ever held in Greymouth. The sum of £6 was collected in the room, a few enthusiasts denoting a guinea each^
