A letter was read from the Groymouth Education Board, notifying the appointment of Mr J. F. Byrne as its representative on the Board of Commissioners. The Chairman welcomed the now member who took his seat.
Mrs Nanoarrow wrote thanking the Commissioners for their expressions of sympathy on the death of the late Mr Nanoarrow, a member of the Board.
Mr Goss applied for leave to run a tramway through reserve 131 Lake Brunner.
Messrs Stratford and Blair to rent 500 acres (cleared portion) of same reserve ; both applications were received and rofjrred to the Banker for his report. Mr P. Giffney offered to rent the resorve pflt Marsden for ten shillings per annum.— inclined.
It was resolved to make a grant of £l5O to each of the High School Boards of Greymouth and Hokitika as soon as the funds permit. A few small accounts were passed for paymont and the business concluded.
