The Department of agriculture has received the following from the AgentGeneral, dated 9th: — The average price of tho choicest butter is 108 s, and there is great demand chiefly for Scotland and the North of England. There is no alteration in the cheese market since last week.

The hemp market is very firm ; good and fair Wellington £22 10s, four current Manila £SO 10'. The auction sales last week closed with good demand. Reports from Manila indicate signs of improvement in the hemp market.
