Melbouhnh, February 10. The Ararat races were brought to an abrupt conclusion by a bush fire, which, fanned by the gale, swept across the course so rapidly that some horses were scorched before they could begot away The wind unroofed the grandstand and miles of country in the vicinity ware burned.
