Messrs G. W. Moss and Co. report their sales for the month of January as follows: There has been a keen demand for property during the month and prices show a considerable advance on previous Sales.

We placed one acre of Freehold on Marsden Road with cottage thereupon, property known as Mrs Chesterman’s Market Gardens, £ acre freehold building site with frontage to Cowper and High Streets on account of Mr Henry Stopps. Jth acre freehold in High Street with comfortable 7 roomed dwelling, on account of Mr A. Johnston; also building site in Threadneedlo Street, acre leasehold in Chapel Street with 6 roomed cottage. Freehold sections in High and Shakespeare Streets; also on account of the Public Trustee, £ acre leasehold in Tainui Street with small cottage thereon, Leasehold, Chapel Street, with commodious two storied dwelling thereon. Total of sales, £1,750. We held several sales of household furniture and effects, there being large attendances and prices satisfactory. We also hold sales of property in Kumar a, but the demand is poor and prices very low. We held a successful 3 days drapery sale placing a largo quantity of goods. Wo draw attention to our property list, a number of desirable cottages and building sites being added. The “Waldomar” Piano is holding the lead and a number of sales have been made. Wo landed 15 instruments during December and have placed 12, A further shipment of 20 instruments is due early in March. S imples on view at our rooms.—lnspection invited.
