Mails for Europe U. S. America, Canada, America. United Kingdom, via Frisco, close here on Friday, February Ist at 830 am. Eegistered letters at 5 pm, money orders at 4p in on olst January. The public are warned that letters for Australia cannot be sent tor Id, the letters must be stamped at the rate of 2d per i oz. The Postal Authorities wish to draw special attention to the fact that rates of postage, except for letters and letter cards have not been reduced. Commercial papers, newspapers, etc., require the same postage as before. .
