TROOPER MARTIN MEMORIAL.

We arc pleased to learn that the movement inaugurated in our columns for raising funds for erecting a memorial to the memory of Trooper Martin is likely to prove successful. The Druids, of which body the late Tom Martin was a member, have talcen the matter in hand, and are getting out lists. Other lists will be left in various part of the town and at the Star Oilice, where subscriptions will be received. Mr Lord will net as treasurer, and Mr West as secretary'.
