HARTLEY AND RILEY'S DREDGE

The statement of affairs of the Hartley and Eilcy Beach Dredging Company as .it the 31st December last, prepared in accordance with the Mining Companies Act, 189-4, forms an interesting document. The company was registered on the 14th July, 1809. The nominal capital is £7,000, the amount of capital subscribed being £6,500, which the amount of capital actually paid up in cash is £0,300, The capital is divided into 7,000 shares, of which 0,500 have been allotted, being held by 2(32 shareholders. At the time of registration there were 73 shareholders. The quantity of gold produced last year was 7,6920 z 3dwt 7gr, valued at £22,700 7s 7d and the quantity produced since registration was 17,3880 z valued at £07,318. The total expenditure in connection with carrying on operations since registration has been £14,080 10s 3d, and the total amount of dividends paid is £50,020 10s 10d.
