Received this day at 9 a.m. London, January 20. Threo squadrons of the Johannesburg Mounted Rifles captured a Boer outpost at Springs terminus on tho East Band llaiway line. A strong Boer force subsequently made a strong attack but woro repulsed. 67 Aberdeen Dutch joined the raiders London, January 20. The Boer 3 captured a British train at East Balmoral laden with mining material for tho Rand. Tho troopship Canada sailed for the Capo with 1,300 Regulars and 520 Recruits for Powell's Police.
