TOWN HILL SITE.

{To the Editor.) Sir, —I perceive that certain apparently interested persons are already in print giving their opinion that there is but one site for a town hall—in Boundary Street in juxtaposition to certain stores. I do not say that the site pointed out is not the best, neither do I say it is the worst; but I do think folks should at least cloak their individual selfishness, and wait until it is seen what sites are available. Most certainly a central site is desirable if it can be obtained. Until, however, all the sites are before the public, I abstain from any opinion.—l am, etc., A Katepayer. Sir, —It was amusing to read the great and numerous advantages put forward in Saturday's Argus in favour of the Boundary Street site for the proposed Town Hall. As Ido not wish to argue the point at present, if it is thought desirable to put the building there, might I suggest that it be built on pontoons and well moored, so as to avoid the necessity of having to build another at some future date. If this is done it will remove some of the objections to the sites advocated.— I am, Pro Bono Pi'blico.
