POSTAL NOTICES
For Christchurch and south per Hortild at 7 p m. For Westport and north per Kennedy at 5 p m. Mails for Natal and Capetown, per Aberdeen on 22nd. Gulf of Bothnia 27th January, Narrung 9th Fibruary, and Capetown, Persic, 2nd February from Melbourne. ' The San Francisco mail by Sierra will be despatched from Auckland on Monday 21st inst. The Postal Authorities wish to draw special attention to the fact that rates of postage, except for letters and letter cards have not been reduced. Commercial papers, newspapers, etc., require the same postage as before.
