MAGISTRATE COURT KUMARA.

(Before Mr Macfarlane).

Wednesday, January 16th,

J. W. Easson and Co v George Hunt, claim £l9 10s for goods supplied. Mr. Murdoch appeared for complainant, Mr Byrne for defendant. G Hunt, sworn denied having received any of the goods enumerated in the account. Defendant admitted having received a bicycle from Edward Evison, (Easson's agent) in Kurnara, but it was under tho distinct understanding that it should not have anything to do with Easson and Go. Defendant further sworo that he considered he owed tho money for tho bicycle to Evison. On Mr Easson agreeing to give on indemnity to fund against any claim made by Evison on account of bicycle. Judgment was given for £l3 10-i amount duo on bicyole and costs £1 6s.
