GREY TROTTING CLUB.
The regular monthly meeting of tlio above Club \uv« held in the Club Loom, Albion Hotel. night. Present— Messrs Petrie (chairman), Wickcs, Giescking, Eissenhardt, M'CarOvy Lutz, Webber, Perkins, Steer, Tidd and Sin'll,. The balance-sheet for the past meeting gave receipts £1,102 4s 3d, and expenses £(533 os, leaving a profit of £430 19s 3d, After paying all liabilities there remained to the credit of; the Club over £3OO. J’csolvcd that a ballot be taken for the redemption of 30 debentures amounting to £3OO. Mr F. H. Keddell was elected a member of the Club. In regard to laying gas on to ground, it was resolved to hold over the matter at present, as the cost would be at least £SO. 111 reply to an application by Mr Buss to remove disqualification of, horse Little Hero “put up ” by the Sheffield Club.— It was resolved that as the Grey Club knew nothing of the circumstances, it cannot interfere. The ballot was then taken, when 30 debentures of £lO were drawn and will be paid forthwith. The programme for the March meeting as drafted, and providing for £420 of prize money, was then agreed (0. The list is as follows :
Trial Handicap, harness, of 20 sovs; two miles. Tradesman’s, saddle, of 25 sovs; two miles. Greymouth Trotting Club Handicap harness, of 50 sovs; two miles. Westland Handicap (harness) of 25, sovs, two miles. Blackball Handicap (saddle) of 25 sovs one mile. Grand Stand Handicap (harness) of 20 sovs, one mile and a half. County Handicap (saddle) of 35 sovs (wo miles. Innovation Handicap (saddle) of 20 sovs. two miles. Ladies’ Bracelet (saddle or harness) of 15 sovs, nuh bracelet value 15 sovs, one mile and a half. Pash Handicap (harness) of 20 sovs, one mile. St Patrick’s Handicap (saddle) of 50 sovs, two miles. Mawhcra Handicap (harness) of 35 sovs. one mile. Autumn Handicap (saddle) of 30 sovs, one mile and a half. 5 Recovery Handicap (harness) of 30 sovs, two miles.
