ARAHURA LIVE STOCK MARKET.
Mark Sprot and Co report their sale al Arahura, yesterday : The entry of fat cattle consisted of 73 head of locally fattened stock. There was a large attendance of buyers, representatives of the trade coming from the Grey, and as far north as Barrytown. The competition was very keen throughout, and prices realised wore the highest for the time of year for many years. The entry of mutton was only equal to hall the requirements and fetched high prices. "We sold - On account of Mr. n. Karnbach, 15 handy weight steers from £9 10s averaging £8 15s. On account of Mr K. Burrough, 15 bullocks from £lO 15s, averaging £9 Its. On account of Mr IT. Diedrichs, 20 bullocks from r £ll ss; 11 heifers from £B. On account of Mr J. Staines, 6 bullocks from £9 ; 3 heifers from £0 7s Cd. On account of Mr Caldwell, 3 heifers from £6 10s to £5. Eat Sheep.—On account of Mr H. Diedrichs, 127 shorn ewes and wethers at 17s; 30 lambs at 11s 6d. On account of Mr E. H. Thorn, owes at 10s 3d ; 40 lambs at 12s. Bacoucrs at £2.
