Mcssv3 G. W. Moss and Co., report yesterdays salo at Preston Yards as follows : The entry of cattle and sheop was short of the requirements, the detention of tho steamers from Wanganui causing a shortage. 85 cattle and 70 sheep were yarded and sold at satisfactory prices to the vendors. Wo sold the following stock: Fat Cattle—On account of Mr P. Corcoran, 10 prime quality bullocks, £8 10s to £9 15s, averaging £9 ss. On account of Mr J. M'Grogor, 5 prime bullocks at £9 15s. On account of Mr Charles Bellow, 19 prime quality bullocks £8 lOs to £lO 15s averaging £9 7s. 1 hoifer £1 2s 6d. Fat Sheep and lambs —On account of Mr Coates 7 ewes 15/9, 80 prime lambs 10/« HWSBWBW9 Fat and Stoke Pigs—:Jl for clients from 8/- for small stores to £2 13s for baconers.
