Under the above title—which has been for many years well-known throughout the United Kingdom—wo are promised an entertainment now in every detail to the Colonies. By the aid of a recent invention added to the “Ghost” apparatus, the management are enabled to present dramas, comedias, and operas, with wonderfully realistic and astonishing effects. To-morrow night Mr Northcoto will present a drama founded on Dickons s famous story, the Christmas Carol, in which all readers of Dickens’s will remember —pathos, comedy, dramatic situations, and pointed instances of. the impulses of tho human heart are so skillfully flaiclcd together, that a most attractive and interesting stage story is the result. Tho effects and music and songs introduced, go to add to tho attractive nature of the “bill.” The programme also contains, a gun-maker in the form of a comedy-farce entitled “The Haunted House” which will introduce tho original Pepper’s Ghost, and a number of weird mysterious and amusing, ~w spectres. The season in Groymouth is '-. limited and'will no doubt bo liberally patronized during its short stay here. Mr Northcote while in England secured the services of Mr Fred Smith —an English actor of great merit, who will stage tho various productions. Tho Company consists ofsorao 13 artists. As usual Mr Harry Abbott (tho amiler) is looking after Mr Northcotcs business interests.
