The holidays just concluded had a great many things in their favour. The weather which continued threateningkept up fairly well; the number of people in town, and the money they spent was fairly good evidence of the prosperous condition of the town and district. The general verdict of business people is that they did ‘-fairly well”, and we know when they say “fairly well” it stands for “particulary good”. A good many find it a trifle difficult to settle down to “hard graft”, but Monday will see the “wheel of every day life in Greymouth" again working steadily.
