1 Maiden Plate 1} Miles— A Sweepstake of 1 sov each, with 1) sovs added. For all hoi’ses that liave not«won an advertised race of ±lO. Weight for age. Entrance 10s. 12 noon. 2 Pony Race, under 141 hands high—--6 Sovs, second horse to receive 1 sov out of stakes; one mile; entrance 5 per cent. 12 45 p.m. 8 Takaka Cup —3o Sovs, second horse to receive 5 sovs out of stakes; weight for age; limiles; for all horses that have not won an advertised race of ±'4o; entrance 80s. 1 30 p.m. 4 Hack Race—B Sovs, second horse to receive 1 sov out of stakes; one mile; entrance 5 per cent. 2 15 p.m. 5 Ttotting Race—6 Sovs, second horse
to receive 1 sov out of stakes; two miles;
entrance 5 per cent. 3 p.m. 6 Hurdle Race —30 Sovs, second horse to receive 5 sovs out of stakes; 1£ miles; for all horses that liave not won an advertised race of ±'49; entrance 30s. 4 p.m. 7 Hack Hurdle Race—B Sovs, second horse to receive 1 sov out of stakes; one mile; entrance 5 per cent. 4 45 p.m. 8, Consolation Race —s Sovs, for all horses that have started but not won,a first or second prize in any of the previous races. Entrance 5 per cent.
All entries for the Takaka Cup and Hurdle Race to be sent in to the Secretary by 8 p.m. on the 13th December; name Rnd age ofhorse to be stated, also name of owner and colors of rider, and no person allowed to start a horse unless he be a subscriber of one guinea tp the Racing Fund.
No horse allowed to start for Hack and Pony Races that has won an advertised race of £Bi
No person allowed to start a horse for Nos 1,2, 4,5, and 7 unless he be a subscriber of half a guinea to the Racing Fund.
No horse allowed to start for Hack Races that has entered for Takaka Cup and Hurdle Race.
No horse allowed to start for No 4 that has entered for No 1.
In Hurdle Races no weight to be less than 10 stone.
Three entries to each event or no second prize. Nelson Jockey Club rules adopted.
The decision of the Steward; upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme to he final.
