GREYMOUTH. October 14th. The Anchor line S. S. Wallace while coming in today, being very light was caught on the top ot a roller and thrown dangerously near the rocks, and before she could regain her position in the Channel, she str tek on the quarter and landed on the stone-work, where she now lies full ot holes. All the passengers and most of their luggage were got ashore. There is connection betweeu the ship and shore by means of planks and ropes. A heavy sea is running and a Southerly wind, which makes the vessel work on shore a good deal. The crew and harbour men are busy getting all portable articles on shore.
