We understand that it is the intention of the Directors to proceed at once with the erection of a Battery on th# Johnstons United Company, Bedstead Gully; the Claim looks very promising indeed, there is a large and well defined reef proven is different directions some hundreds of feet, and from a small heap of about 3 tons put rouy hly throagh a sluice box 7 ozs of gold was taken, and some really masnificient specimens, without a doubt the claim is remarkably rich and the wonder is what the original owners could have been oreaming about to have abandoned such a valuabl? propertv.
