A fortune-teller bas thrown new light on M. de Rongemont's romances' Some years ago, under the name of Green, he regularly attended her seances, and proved himself a strong medium. When under the mesmeric influence he related his adventure amongst the blacks, and told stories of unlimited treasures, and knew where to find them. He performed all sorts of peculiar antics. In his nor mal condition Green is a rough coarse talker, but under the influence is quite a gentleman. He disappeared three years ago, and on his' return he stated that he had spent a time among the aborigines. She recognised the photographs published in the papers.
