Deputy Panlmier, whose wife recently wounded the sub- editor of the Paris journal La Lanterne because the paper assailed her daughter, fought a duel with M. Tornot, the author of the offending article. They used rapiers, and M. Turnot was thrice wounded in the thigh and side.
