NOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order was adopted at a meeting of the Manchester Road Board held on Friday, the sth day of August, 1898, and that it is proposed to confirm the same at a Special Meeting to be held on the 9th of September, 1898 :— That this Board, under the provisions of " The Loans to .Local Bodies Act, 1886," and under and by virtue of a warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, dated the 23rd day of September, 1897, authorising tho.Eangitibei County Council to charge the Manchester Road Board with onethird share of cost of managing at>d maintaining the \ Onepuhi Bridge over the Bangitikei Biver at Onepuhi, borrow a further sum of £800 for the purpose of providing share of the cost of repairing the said bridge, in accordance with the above - mentioned Warrant ; and that a Special Bate of one hundred and fiftieth part of a penny in the £ be hereby made upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property (Crown and Native land excepted) within the Manchester Eoad District for the purpose of providing interest on the above Loan of £800, to be borrowed under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 188G ; euch rate to be annually recurring for 26 years, and payable at the Board's office in equal halfyearly instalments on the Ist daya of April and October in each year.
