Palmerston Hospital Board.
The monthly meeting of the above was held yesterday. Present— Messrs Park (chairman), Bailey, J. Taylor, T. It. Taylor, Kendall and Eavenhill Leave of absence was granted to Messrs Lethbridge, Booth, Aisher and Hammond. The following cenrespondence was dealt with : — From Secretary of Oroua Eugby Union, forwarding ±"4 16s 2d, donation to the funds of the Board. From Treasury, forwarding £ 232 6s sd, being the amount of subsidy on Jfc'23o 10s 6d. From Wellington, Wanganni, and Christchurch Hospital Boards, respecting ambulance conveyances A conversational discussion followed in regard to the question of an ambulance, and it was decided to further discuss the matter at a subsequent meeting. During the discussion it was suggested by Mr T. R. Taylor that a spring conveyance should be provided by subscription in Palmerston and kept at the police station for use in cases of accident. From Halcombe Town Board, directing attention to the state of the roof of a cottage occupied by W. Sedraan.— Left in the hands of the Board to attend to. Accounts amounting to about i' 234 were passed for payment.— Times.
