Benefit to an Actress.
Telegraph. Press Association Copyright London. March 18. The benefit to Miss Nellie Farren, the Gaiety actress, at Prury Lane, was a huge success. All the leading playgoers took part in it. Crowds of playgoers waited all night, picnicking on the pavement, so as to secure seats. Thousands were unable to gain admittance. The benefit realised over £6000, which through Mr Rothschild's guarantee, secures Miss Farren i-250 per annum.
